Disney Cruise

On Saturday October 4th we got on the Disney Cruise ship at Port Canaveral. We made 4 port stops during the 7 night cruise. The first stop was at Key West were we went to a Butterfly conservatory that was pretty neat and walked out to the southern most part of the U.S.

Our next stop was the Grand Cayman Island. We took a bus tour that took us to "Hell" It is a little town there and it is called "Hell" because of the lava rock formations found there. So we can now say we have been to hell and back. The tour bus also took us to a turtle farm. We got to touch and hold the baby turtles. Of course Zailey freaked out about them and wouldn't even touch them but she liked looking at them.

Our third port stop was in Cozumel. Here we did some shopping and then decided to take another tour by bus. This guy drove us around and we stopped at some Mayan ruins. We had a tour guide that took us around and told us some history of the area. It was really intersesting. After that we went to a resturant on the beach and ate lunch and then played in the ocean for a bit.

Our 4th and final port stop before heading home was at Castaway Cay (Disney's Private Isalnd). It was really nice there because the only people on the island were the peolple from the cruise ship. It had a really nice beach and a great snorkeling area. The snorkeling was cool because there were sunken ships, anchors and various other things that had been placed there to attract fish and make it feel like you were way out in the open waters somewhere. This stop was nice because we felt like we could just sit and relax and not worry that we were missing out on site seeing in a city.

We also enjoyed alot of fun on the ship. There was a place called the Oceaneer's Club that we could take Zailey to, where she could play and they would watch her for us so that we could go do some of the other activities without her. But when she wasn't in there she loved being at the splash zone playing in the water. The food was great and if you ever went hungry it was your own fault. Zailey loved to see the Disney characters espcially the Disney princesses. We will post some of those pictures later. She like most of the characters but for some reason she was terrified of Goofy, Pluto and of course Captain Hook.

In my opinion cruise's are the way to go for a vacation. You don't have to worry about meals or planning where to go. Just hop aboard and have fun. Hopefully we can do this again in a few years when Zenick is a little older.

Sea World

It has been a while since we have updated our blog so I guess we will start with our big trip and then try to fill in some of the other stuff later.

So, where to start.

We just took Zailey with us this time. We decided not to take Zenick with us on this trip, he stayed with Grandma and Grandpa Rasmussen in Grace, Idaho. We missed having him with us a few times but it was nice not to have to worry about two kids and all the extra stuff we would have had to pack. Plus we knew that he would be too little to remember it anyway.

We started the trip by flying into Orlando, Florida on Thursday October 2nd where we stayed the night at a hotel there. Friday we went to Sea World. Zailey had a good time and enjoyed most of the sea life, but got a little freaked out by some of the sea creatures. I guess we were having too much fun and forgot to take pictures because we didn't have many when I was looking through the pictures. Plus our camera has been taking junky pictures lately so some of them didn't turn out very good.

Our Family

Well I thought that I would hurry and jump on the bandwagon and start a blog for our family. I have many friends and family that keep bugging me about it. I just hope that I can find the time to keep it updated.
So a little about the Stocking Family. Chuck and I have been married for about 4 and a half years now. The time has flown by so quickly. Our Zailey Anna is 2 and a half and always keeps us on our toes. She is SOOO independent. The good thing about that is she catches on to things fast. We put on a baby signs video for her once and that is about all it took. She knows so many words now. She is also potting training. The only problems that she has is that she is so shy so she doesn't dare tell anyone that she has to go potty. Our little Zenick Charles is her complete opposite. He is such a momma's boy and is extremely sensitive. He is 9 months old now so he is crawling all over the place and getting into everything. He can pull himself up to anything. I think one of these days he is just going to take off walking because he wants to catch up to his sister so badly. As for Chuck, he has started a computer company called Bear Lake Computers. Oh yeah, so we now live in Garden City and we love it. He is also building cabins with Brent, his cousin, and Kody, one of his friends. We also do some property management together with Brian Hirschi. Chuck is extremely busy, but he always makes time for his family. He frequently takes Zailey with him on his trips to Home Depot or just up to the cabin. He is a great father and husband. I feel truly blessed to have found him. I am glad I got up the guts to ask him out on our first date. As for me, I am busy with the property management, taking care of the kids, and I do accounting from home. I love our new home in Bear Lake. If anyone comes for the summer, they need to stop by and visit.
